My son and his friend managed to catch it with a net in a small creek in mg back yard. This creek hasn't been stocked in my lifetime.

Tiger trout maybe? It's a manmade hybrid they're stocking out west.

I'm about 3 miles off the Neshannock creek. They haven't stocked this creek sense ma dad was a kid and he's 71. I know the game commission dosnt stock browns or Brooks in my area.

I don't know about PA, but Nebraska G&P likes to do stuff and not tell the public what they're doing.

PFBC have tracked trout over 80 miles from where they were stocked ,
cool looking fish , still bet the fly shop stocked it , they put a couple hundred " trophies " in their area ,on top of what the state puts in ,
looks like a tiger .

Beautiful fish.
It looks like it was stream raised
Therefore I say, brook trout with odd vermiculation and coloring.

Could be but the closest brook trout stream is quite a ways from there and it hasn't got any for a few years ,
unless the fly shop put in brookies too ,

Gorgeous fish. Tiger trout occur naturally, but as far as I know they can't reproduce

It's a tiger trout, and a beautiful one,at that.As has been stated,it would be sterile. They have been raised and stocked but also, occasionally occur in the wild.

Even stocked fish will move a long ways, couple miles wouldn't trouble them. That fish looks like it has been in that water a while.
