Here it is , Flag Day 2020. On this day right now, some are burning and standing on it, some are proudly displaying it …. and many are somewhere in between. Many fought and died to make sure what Ole Glory represents stays around for a long time. Many spent long ,long hours in debate, sometimes heated, about what she should stand for. Today many want to destroy all of what she represents. Here in the heartland, for sure in my neck of the woods..... She flies proudly. Red White and Blue.... today it's a day to "Honor the Flag of the United States of America". May God Bless the USA.... may we as a nation see the importance of working hard giving Him reason too !!!

We fly this proudly every day except around Easter and Christmas, when we fly a themed flag. I need to get another holder so I can fly two flags.

Drives me nuts to see the flags flown dirty, ragged and flown below other flags be it military, confederate or of another nation. Makes me want to rip them down, if your going to fly it fly it right and proud.

Going through my things I found what I learned is a casket flag. After some research I learned that it belonged to my great grandfather. I for some reason developed some emotion over it. I felt it would honor him to fly it. It is in pristine condition from being packed away for so long. I’ve been looking into flag etiquette and read several times that it is the right thing to put it in the wind. What say the trapperman folk?

I believe I may have told this story before on here, but here it is again.......Back in the early 80's my cousin and his wife moved to the "Bay Area" in California for work. They drove into the city one day (S.F.) to sightsee. The place was crowded and there were people everywhere. When they pulled into a parking garage the cousin's wife leaned ahead and asked the attendant what all the hubbub was. He answered her and she heard "Flag Day". She looked around and and said to my cousin...."I don't see any flags". He looked at her and simply said "He didn't say FLAG Day"!
