Two sons-in-law have CDLs and drive commercial rigs. NO FIREARMS ALLOWED. Think it is federal, I haven't checked, maybe state.

Charlie If you love them, and they drive out of state, encourage them to either refuse to go where they shouldn't, or have them quit. I know it seems harsh, but just like cops, I'd rather them be looking for a job the rest of their life,than be in jail the rest of their life!

There is no federal regulation that says truckers cant carry. Some states will lock up anybody for carrying. On a bicycle, walking, driving your family to the grocery store. Lots of states it is legal as your back door. Lots of states you need written permission first. If your staying inside the MT border, ask for permission and then arm yourself.
