Here's what happened a guy was in a fight hit hit on the head with a skateboard. Man decides to leave several people attack him and he fires. I say justified. Note: he's in plain clothes unlike the militia group who was in full camo.

You can burn, destroy or attack anybody you want and your good but defend yourself and you get arrested for it.

And we are just seeing the start of the craziness.

In the comments of the Twitter link they show a video of what started it. The guy in blue was being blocked from going to the people trying to pull down the statue by a lady. He had enough so he threw her down. He was attacked by several people 1 hit him with a skateboard. He was walking away the mob advanced he drew his gun guy with skateboard and a lady started attacking him again he shot the skateboard guy.

Yes he shouldn't have thrown the woman to the floor but once it was over it should've ended. But no people wanted more of him so he gave them the prize

OMG, He was being attacked by a mob that was screaming they were going to kill him, they took him down to the ground and he shot in defense of his life and was ARRESTED?!?!?

looks to me like he was trying to leave(retreating) and they pursued him, which makes them the aggressor, and after he was assaulted he used his firearm in self defense.

all legalities aside, im glad he shot one, lots more to go though...and that's what its gonna take

That was my take. The 3 (including the one that was shot) that pursued him and attacked him aren't facing charges at this time. There are pics circulating showing one of them with a knife too.

Yes he assaulted a woman by throwing her down. After the initial beating he received he was leaving the mob followed while shouting Kill Him!!! then he was attacked and hit with a skateboard. Then he fired off 4 rounds

Charges have changed. DA thinks it was justified but investigation is ongoing. He is being charged w/3 counts of aggravated battery because he threw the lady on the ground and hit 2 other people and 1 count of unlawful carrying of a weapon because no ccw permit.

Sidenote: There was a gofundme account for him but gofundme banned it.
