Get what you can, then upgrade it at a later date if or when things become more readily available. At the moment they are thin on the ground and getting pricey. See if you can get a palmetto State armory Or bear creek arsenal one still.

Let's go Brandon

I was looking and just bought one.

1 way is to get email notifications when in stock from a bunch of companies but act fast when you get notified because they go quickly

2 is on gunbroker, I found a company selling one Googled them to make sure they were legit and ended up buying cheaper directly from them.

Good luck

I bought a ruger for 500$ not long ago...if I would have waited I could have got a free 10/22 with it lol. Smith and Wesson is decent too but I think more in the 600$ range.

Bear Creek arms have some very good prices on complete upper, from 223 to 350 Legend. They will run 225.00 to 270.00.

Just find a lower and put them together. Complete lowers are selling for about 175.00 to 200.00

I see PSA is pretty spendy now and most stuff is sold out. At least our fellow citizens are seeing the sense in self defense.

just checked BCA Bear Creek Armory they have a 20 inch heavy barrel side charger for 349 in stock they have 2 pistol uppers a 7.5 inch and a 10.5 inch in stock this was 5.56 /223

that is it the rules about what is a good price or what to buy have completely changed in the last 3 months and 4 days

as has ammo

Midway USA has some 5.56 16 inch with BCG https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1022408548?pid=851270 at a fair price by my standards and current lack of stock else were

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Im looking at a smith and Wesson mp 15 sport 2. Think it's in the 5-700 range. They were in stock at a local store last week.

I have a Bear creek 458 socom upper. It came with a broken dust cover (cheap pos) and it is terribly inaccurate. I had to try several bullets to get it below a 6" group at 100 yards on a bench. The hornady 325 ftx hold 2-3" so thats what im sticking with and is ok for what i intend to use the rifle for plus 100 yards is close to max useful range of that caliber. Yep it was a cheap upper and it does work, but i dont think i could recommend them. For anyone that has one and likes it, what other ARs do you have to compare it to? Im gonna bet none or another equally low end rifle.

Now at the current state of things, if thats all you can find then go for it. Its better than not having one.

My recent eexperience with PSA was quite bad. I'd tread lightly with them. Bent charging handle, front pin oversized to the point of not going into the upper, and trigger hanging on the safety resulting in a single shot rifle. Originally ordered on 04/24 and finally received a return label last Wednesday. 3 phone calls and 7 emails. On hold for 2:03 before I could speak to customer service.

I took the stance of being understanding in my first 3 emails in the first 2 weeks. It was a little ridiculous from that point on. The kit shipped out UPS on Friday. No word of receiving it or refund yet. Hopefully not another 2 months

Here's my thoughts on my Bear Creek 300blk upper. 1,000+ rounds through it ranging from 110gr supers to 220gr subs. Awesome rifle. Shoots 1" groups at 100 yards with iron sights. I have a 16" barrel side charging upper with Bear Creek BCG. I have heard some iffy things about the company but heard enough good that I was willing to take a shot with them for my first AR. I'm completely happy. In those 1000+ rounds only one issue and that was a failure to feed on 110gr handloads. That issue may have been remedied already by switching out for my buffer. With that said, my next upper was a PSA 300blk 10.5" barrel and it' awesome although I have a Toolcraft BCG in it. Either of those brands I think you'd do great with affordably, but I hear less issues or bad things about PSA.

I just looked at BCA and uppers look to have a 25 to 30% increase. And seem to be selling out real fast. Im sure by the time Nov rolls around they will be even higher prices. Get them while you can.

I have a Anderson M16 replica that i built for a guy and then backed out. Has 20 inch barrel with carry handle and 20 inch barrel. Just like they had in Vietnam.

I picked up the BCA 300 Blackout in a 16 inch side charging and also a 7.5 SBR in 300 BO. THEY all shot great
