I have had great luck with JB Weld, "water weld" epoxy in a stick form. Cut off a slice knead till uniform color and press into holes. Worked for me on a few gas tanks on small engines. As with anything a clean, dry and oil free surface is best.

X2 on jb weld. Add f 26 glue to the list. Good luck when they start to rust and pinhole. They aren't made as well as they used to be. Much thinner gauge metal. We don't buy them anymore. It will turn loose on you soon. We only buy Rubbermaid tanks on our farm.

Get it set up where you want it then pour in some bentonite and add water it will seal it up for you. Then add a wooden plank for the song birds to land on to get a drink. Allan

I like to braze them when I clean them out- beings it is just filled blocking it with anything non-toxic would be a good temporary fix until it needs cleaned. If you use a wire brush on the inside and put it in a dark shop with a light in the back ground you can see any and all leaks

One hole nut bolt rubber washer. I will next time ...this time I couldnt find water weld...so I used JB weld Steel stik putty. 5 min set, 1 hour cure. I put it on both sides and will wait until tomorrow to try it out. Either a water tank or a raised bed it will be.

Either the bentonite or pour concrete in the bottom of the tank or even smear some blackjack tar across the bottom of it after 30+ year's working on water wells and windmills I've seen a lot of different patch jobs and ideas ha ha .
When you add different metals to something that holds water you'll get basically a bimetal fouling depending on your water and the chemicals in your soil it really shows up in galvanized pipe under windmills and or pumpjacks . Allan

Whats the tank used for? I have 1 unopened bottle of gas tank sealer left over from sealing my tractor and a jerry can that I'd be glad to part with. $15.00 you pay shipping. I believe it cost me $19.00 plus shipping BTW I soldered a cattle water tank one time. Still don't leak. If you have several holes you will have more.
