Getting ready to purchase some bib overalls and looking for other opinions. I didnt want to hijack Macs thread on suspenders, but that is what got me thinking about it. My dad always wore Liberty brand , but i see they are now imported...as are most brands. Round House and Pointer brand are still made in USA. The three I see the most in this neck of the woods are Dickie, Liberty and carharrt. I wear Carharrt insulated bibs in the winter, but this will be my first uninsulated bibbers.....just wondering your preferences and experience with the brands and quality...thx. wife bought some of them new when she worked for Duluth

the fire hose material is a little warm mostly only wear them when temps are cooler. but it is a durable material most of mine are more than 7 years old wife worked for Duluth in about 2010 or 2011 so some of them are from then.

I have wore bibs for years, I've got some Liberty, or as pcr2 would say, liberty biberty. Most of mine are Key brand because years ago my niece worked at the local feed co-op and called me because they were on 75% clearance, I bought a bunch lol. I'm working on becoming a Junior Samples impersonator as he is my hero.

I wear Dickies or Key brand. I prefer Dickies but they are getting hard to find around here. May have to do the on line shopping thing.
Buy them big as they shrink a lot.

I really miss the Oshkosh (B'Gosh) brand bibs. They were the best.

Got all carhartt bids in regular and insulated winter bibs, a clothing store closed and got good deal on some a year ago. They wear like iron

Had a problem with em riden up on me. Think I'll try Duluth, didn't know they made them

Been in Carahartts for years as burnt others up way too quick. That being said they have changed over the years and not for the better in my opinion.Cement or weld splater on a zipper takes em out of commission quick. The side leg pockets are different now and my channel locks wear a hole in them quick if they don't fall out and get lost first. Regular pockets are too shallow and things fall out unless just wearing them to stroll around in the hood.

Tried the firehose and wore them once. They suck and are way over priced. Center bib pocket is all one compartment that allows things to fall out when bend over and not near as briar proof.

i wear bibs a lot at work, for me it comes down to the chest pocket and what works best for me. Of all the ones that I've used I like Dickies and Carhartts the best, they have about the same pocket except that Dickies has a pen slot in the middle which I like. Try a couple brands and styles and see what works best for you.

I like the durability of carhartt but not the fit. I’m 5,8 190lbs and the legs are always so big... like bell bottoms. Hate it. Loose clothing gets snagged.

This is so true. I also dislike the clasps they use.

I'm a Roundhouse guy. But I may be a bit biased as they are made here in Oklahoma.

I still have several pair of Carhartt duck bibs and a nice pair of their insulated bibs... But I quit buying them a while back... Got tired of paying 2x the price of American made for something made in Mexico.

pockets are very important

while trying on any pare of pants I intend to buy , they have to pass the pocket test , hand in pocket fingers spread , up to my wrist I have XXL hands and need XXL pockets

generally Duluth have generous enough pockets to get the important items in my pockets like an LC9 in a pocket holster

i always worry they make my (/) look big for the girls

I have both Dickie and Liberty, I do like the fit of the Liberty brand better for warm weather bibs. I like the Dickies in colder weather seems they fit better over under armor or long johns.

Are them pink Carhartt's still holding up for ya Pete?
