I like something accurate enough at 25 yards I can kill a squirrel or rabbit if I want to. Boat trapping I keep a little taurus semi that is double action only in a baggie inside the chest pocket of my waders. It is good enough to kill a coyote at ten feet but your not taking any small game home for supper. Most of the time I have a ruger single six with me

This thing is about the size of a pack of cigarettes

I have a Rough Rider and a Ruger Wrangler. Both are great little guns for the trapline.

I have a mark 4 22/45 lite and i love it. Absolutely love it. Its accurate enough to shoot rabbits out to 25 yards or more depending on how good you are but the pistol is capable of it. Plenty reliable. Love the easy take down and simple clean up. Good controls on the pistol. Already threaded if you want a suppressor on it. Comes with a factory installed pic rail on top if you want a red dot or scope. Has ate all the ammo i have fed it so far. Rem, fed, cci, win.

no sir. You have to find a used one. Its single action too if you want it you be. My buddy had one I never could talk him out of but I finally found one at a gun auction.

That is what I use ... a Heritage with 5 +" barrel... Rural King has them on sale, but don't remember what the price is.

Mine doesn't either. Trap line is rough on them. I use shorts and cb shorts 99.9% of the time. I always wanted single action ruger. But if I happened to drop my rough rider in deep water. Not like dropping a ruger.
