The Bell City No. 9 Lever Cutter The cutter head. It moves all the way down over the opening and comes to rest on a metal piece on the leg. Eh...wot?

gcs trapper G Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 2,549 coastal ny	It's a fodder cutter, put a bundle of stalks on/ in the chute and start cutting any size you want with the attached cast iron cutter, which has a replaceable blade. That one is quite worn down. The reverse curve of the blade forces the material into the bracket of the cutter frame so the material doesn't slide away. I broke two of them over the years, used them for cutting horseshoe crabs for bait....
