Me and the fishing partner caught a good one today. The one pictures is 26.5” and also caught a 23” we let go as well. Got a few smaller eaters for lunch

Nice.
Here the pickerel move into shallower water on cloudy days or when the water gets murky from a chop.

Nice walleye I'm glad to read that you released the larger walleye's keep the better one's around for a good gene pool !

Besides the better eaters are between 15" - 19/20" . I'm still learning how to jig fish for them that's a challenge I truly enjoy.

I love jigging for walleye. That’s how I caught these ones today

I've never done that, always run crankbaits for them. Jigging is something I'd love to try though.

Crank baits work but lite jigs tipped with a minnow or a crawler on 4-6 lbs braided line on a 7' spinning rod casting toward the shore from 12-16' water is a blast or if the waters warmed up in 20'+ and vertical jigging can be extremely fun too .

But with that said I've been known to drag worm harnesses and bottom bouncers too it's all good !

Nice Walleyes! Love jigging for them better than any other method. Love the "bump" when it's dropping!
