Some gun owners aren’t really gun owners friends

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Sheriffs are elected officials by the people...I know ours will not take guns. Especially if he wants re-elected, lol. And the military was sworn to uphold the constitution and as of now it still says I can own weapons.

Military swore an oath? Google the "bonus army". Don't think it can't happen again

We're in the same world Jerry, when given the choice of feast or famine, your just as much screwed. Being a cop does not make you a Patriot.

THIS

I foresee urban and leftist run areas doing lockstep "just following orders" consfication. (See New Orleans/Katrina) While rural areas go full deputized militia headed by sheriffs. Meanwhile suburban will take a wait and see as we wait to see if all the cold dead hands/molon labe/civil war talk was just hot air or not. Probably just hot air.

Don't count on it. Georgia will be in civil war with five maybe seven Metro counties in full confiscate mode plus four or five others others trying to follow suit, a couple with a military presence. At least a half a dozen or more others would be split over the issue, with county government splitting. Large portions of the state though will be willing to fight, though. Unfortunately, these areas will lack the numbers of the urban.
The Governor by default must side with the rural but will be fighting an insurrection within the state house.

Other southern states would have similar issues.

Alabama, would have it's largest city on the other side while the western end of that county would be willing to fight. There would also be a belt of counties across the middle that would be yessir step and fetch for whatever the party says.

I'm sure the rest of the Solid South isn't as solid as you think it is.

If they refuse to confiscate the guns, they will be replaced with someone who will. Just that simple. Thats why I lost all of my guns in a sinkhole accident!!!!! The question should be is who will refuse to hand them over and who will stand to prevent such action

I don't. Look how fast people and businesses turtle shelled when they got shut down by a virus. A few will stand up and make things ugly, most won't.

Want to know what the cops will do? Take a look around they are doing whatever the mayors and others are telling them to do. They don't want to be prosecuted or loose their pensions.

No, it's not. That's why many of us are counting on the western States to quickly take care of business internally and start putting pressure on their neighbors, like Colorado or portions of Idaho or Montana, while holding the line of the Cascades. Hopefully Texas resolves their carpet bagger/scalawag problem quickly.
Meanwhile, large numbers of us will be fighting to save our states.

I believe you are wrong. I was taught to never give up my rights for the promise of safety and security. They will not be taken without blood shed. Maybe not by my hand, but by someone with an upbringing alot like mine.
