Curious why the CDR design wasn't adapted for a canine trap?

I love my CDRs on fiberglass drowners. Set them at the truck, pan held by the loose jaw and can carry them anywhere. Probably one of the most convenient to use traps I own.

Just wondering why there's not a smaller version.

Carl, Don and Randy wanted to build a better beaver trap is why the CDR was developed. They could barely keep up with the demand on the 7.5, so there's no way they would make another version.

I think it would have been a great idea too.

it was, with the springs as the levers, but not by the CDR crew, but it never got far off the ground, if I'm not mistaken.

I figured it was something like that having watched other designs come and go.

I'd love to see a 6inch CDR or a 3/4 sized Jake trap either one but we do have a lot of great choices on the market anymore. Maybe we are spoiled! whistle
