I didn't know n. MN was hurting so bad. Our May and first half of June were pretty bad (unusually hot and dry) but a couple of timely rains in the past two weeks have turned things so far.

I agree! We needed rain badly here in NW Wisconsin, getting some last night and today. We need to get a good soaking rain before the temps really heat up next week.

Pretty green here in many places more rain expected this week, moved my brooder house yesterday and the coop gets moved later in the week away from the rising lake water. Most of my 1.5 acre lots is under water and washed away tree belts are toast wit 2 trees standing now.
More rain coming your way on and off this week so hang in there it’s coming your way soon.

Seems as if there is a protective dome over our area lately as all storms seem to split as they arrive. We could use an inch or two of rain as well!
Chris That happened many times the past few weeks!!! I hope the storm splitting quits for us and You.

Lucky enough to get .75" this morning. Sure could use a nice long soaked for a few days. Corn and beans are taking a hit along with my seedling trees I put in this spring. You can only water so much before you need a good rain.
Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

Agreed, we needed rain real bad here in the lower Naugatuck Valley, and boy did we get some, including hail which is very rare in these parts.... This picture was taken at my parents place, rain and hail was pretty intense, although the actual thunderstorm just missed us. Good thing I left the shed open because after the rain lightened up I discovered the beginnings of a paper wasp nest !!

Glad you got a good one. We could use one but I hope it holds off until harvest is done. I regret thinking that in a month when it still hasn’t rained

Interesting they showed a map of drought areas. Minn had a thumb print going through the Twin cities and up to the Iron Range as being in trouble. How was last nights rain 330 trapper ? We got .15 out of the predicted .5. NWS is saying this is the 3rd driest summer on record. We hauled 1000 gallons of water for the apple tress last night. A large fire is almost guaranteed this summer.
I have nothing clever to put here.
