Imagine being actually on the right. You cant speak your opinions on campus without huge condemnation, you run the risk of being "doxxed" or "swatted" or even outright attacked. Professors will not grade fairly if you take a right wing position, you would be treated as a pariah under constant mental and possibly physical attacks.

tell them it's ok you ate the beaver and you didn't want the nice fur to go to waste.

that makes it OK

well maybe not to them but watch the looks you get should be entertaining.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Next time, wear your Beaver Hat again while eating pancakes with Aunt Jemima syrup and an Eskimo Pie for dessert.

Tell them that the beaver was hard working, took care of it's own kids, believed in Free Speech, believed in the right to protect itself and its property, loved its country, appreciated all of its history, didn't want artworks destroyed and thought racism was only a minor problem and you'll be their hero for killing it.

James, the "faux pas" was committed by the group, not by you. They are the ones that should be ashamed of their actions, and apologize to you. Why didn't the group leader call out these rude actions instead of letting them go unchallenged?

About 75 years ago famed English author George Orwell wrote two books, Animal Farm and Nineteen Eighty Four. They are quite prescient. You should suggest that your peers in the MFA program read them, It may enlighten them.

Yeah. I've been a writer for years, but I want to get better.

Do you have published works available? Are you also working towards serving on the bench?

MT, yes I have published work. My science-fiction trapping story was chosen for the 33rd edition edition of The Year's Best Science Fiction, which is still available in book stores.

I don't understand why that didn't post as a link.

One would have never known unless you did what you did. Now one has more ammunition for working on changing people's mindsets or perspectives. Reality many times changes needs. One of the families I do damage control for has two vegetarians in the family yet they want grinners, skunks and coons to "magically" disappear. !
