Corn starch, sweet tea, and a shade tree when you can.

If it wasn't for my love of fresh garden tomatoes and the family here, I think I would have moved to Alaska long ago. I am built for cold not heat.

Heat index of 105 here but it will get hotter if you go to south alabama or swamp wolf territory it's really hot.

LOL!!!

Remember this when the topic of winter comes up and one of you Northerners pipe up and remind us that we don't know what cold is.

It was 81į when I left the house at 5:30 this morning.

We say the same thing about you guys up north with your 6 month winters and subzero temps - just a matter of getting used to it. 96 today here and it was a good day of bass fishing on the river - just a typical June day here.

And ditto on the corn starch....

Mike, I've been in Norman several times and that weather is something. July and August hot and windy soon as the sun is up. But it cools off after sundown better than it does here. Winter, raw and windy when I was there. Always wanted to see what would happen if the wind stopped blowing, never did. I remember one summer evening watching scissortails flying around.

Got 3.5 inches of rain here over night. Here come the skeeters. May have to go get some more shotgun shells to fend them off.

The one thing I donít miss is the humidity when I moved from Pennsylvania to Idaho several years ago. However, I donít care not seeing my lawn from November to March with the constant snow on it
