During the protests a lot of them were asked to come forward and get tested for the virus. There is more testing and asymptomatic people getting tested. This adds into total confirmed cases that wasn't there before. Most of the protesters are in the under 40 group. It will be important to test this group because that is the age group most likely to have asymptomatic spread and be spreading the virus.

Cases is like caring how many first downs or hits your team gets. Deaths is like touchdowns or runs. Death numbers continue to decline. We are supposed to be doing all this to save lives, not prevent people from getting infected. As long as the high risk group is not being infected and dying, who cares?

Protesting and rioting ( alternative shopping ) and such is fine and you can do it even without wearing masks. Its all the other stuff like working for a living and similar activities that should be shut down as its dangerous and spreads the VIRUS. I am so over this crap. The " King " of hilton head island has decreed, that as of today a mask has to be worn in every public place on the island. That includes the marinas etc. Thats why I left yesterday. I am not working on a boat in close to 100F wearing a fracking mask. So I packed up and said I'll come back when the politicos have come back on the carpet and to their senses.

They are pushing the increase in cases but stopped reporting on the death rate when that dropped off.

It seems the local news is blaming the rise in cases on a couple of bars in Minneapolis. Bars bad, Orange Man bad, Church bad.... Mask good!

I've been living it for almost a year now. What I can say without any doubt in my mind is. Cases don't mean a whole lot of anything at this point with 99% of people surviving it. Here in about four days I have a feeling a lot of this craziness is going to ease up. You know when we get out of Covid season. .....Covid can be real tough on some people and yes they've died. There's many things in this world that are tough on people.
