I have been asked to live trap some beaver this summer/fall and wondering what lures should I be packing. During the fall/ winter I run either my own castor and the bosses Backbreaker. Done the peeled sticks for under the ice also. I own one suitcase trap and getting a few more from a guy I work with. Going to try something new for sure.
Any tips sure would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks Jon

Your normal lure will work. If all goes well you won't have to use any though right?

Castor from a different colony of beaver than the pond you are trapping.

The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.

Thanks for the replys. bbasher thats the plan but wanted to be ready for anything that happens.
Bctomcat I keep records of where I catch then and use the castor from different areas. So I dont mix it up.

I think you'll like the Woodchipper. It's all I use in the heat of summer.

I use the Woodchipper all summer, it works well. I tried the green stuff once and could not get a bite. Now I use my own or all of Dobbins

Walleye. Sorry it's been a couple days. The fish and game are trying to relocate some to areas around our area. Got a few spots were they are causing problems so I was contacted and going to see what I can do. Jon
