Anyone have a source for either bulk or pre-cut black screen that does not come apart when cut? Using it with MB 550's.

Last I checked Kegs Creek it said NOT for MB550’s on the website. I went with NO BS and it’s a much flexible screen. Ordered enough that I shouldn’t run out at all next season.

Hardware store carry several thicknesses and you can get a whole roll for not much money, then a nice heavy paper cutter does a nice job of cutting it to sizes needed for your specific traps you have and use.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I use the screen from Keg Creek for 550s with no problem. I buy it by the roll and cut the covers myself. Basically a 5x5 square with a notch for the dog. Same cover will also work on my K9 Extreme Jrs.

Is this metal or fiberglass screen?
Or does it matter?

I noticed where someone mentioned that he cut a slot out of the screen on his dog on traps. Your much better of to just drag the screen across the pan notch to form a hole. This keeps the screen from sliding around and helps keep the bubble out of It. When you do this you have a unset trap you drag the screen across the pan notch. Then you set the trap the ends of the screen are under the jaws and the dog Is on top of the screen holding everything In place. Takes a little getting use to but It makes a difference In stabilizing that screen pan cover.

Rural King has carbon coated aluminum that works well for MB 550s. John Grahams works well for 550s too. Keg creeks black steel for larger traps.

Common sense catches alot of fur..
