Are you originally from Pittsburgh, PA. That’s “Pittsburghese” talk.

Paul,

Good luck on the book editing and proofreading. I used to proof articles back in the day,
Now I'd just scan your book, make a copy, and sell it to the Chinese.
For $1500
Easy-peasy transaction.

On top of the $495 I charged you initially.

When Charlie was writing for The Trapper and Predator during the 1980' I would read his articles before I would read anything else . His way of telling the story always made his articles interesting .enjoyable and a learning experience I cannot imagine this book will be any less than any of his other writings

Personally, I would be just fine with it as you wrote it. After spending some time on here I am over the grammar and spelling thing. Everybody is on their dang cell phone and typing like a teenager. Not many here know grammar or spelling. Just saying.

I didn't write most of it. Dad was the author for the bulk of the book.

To be honest, I would like to read it the way he wrote it. Somehow it gives you an idea of what they went through. That, and it makes me feel better at how I suck at the English languish.

There is a big difference between a proof reader and an editor, when it comes to writing a novel verses a how to book. One novel I wrote I sent 2 chapters to her, because she was supposed to be a hot shot editor. They not only correct the grammar and spelling, but they changed to what they are supposed to know a publisher will buy. Well, when I got the first chapter back, I didn't even recognize it as my story. She did the sample for nothing, but wanted $2800 to do the entire 24 chapters, and there were no guarantees a publisher would buy it.

I said, thank you, but no thank you.
