So I picked some fresh catnip leaves and brought them home to the house cat. Holy smokes did that cat get crazy! Rolling around, biting the leaf and shaking it like a dog, grooming its self, and if you got close to her she attacked. Didn't know if fresh leaves would work or not. I tried some catnip oil i had bought from a popular trapping supply company and it had zero affect on the cat. I wonder since the stuff grows wild around here if bobcats would have no interest in it.

I've seen some reaction from bobcats on some tests. I've got a mixed lure out right now and some straight catnip in a tea bag that I'll be checking this week.

I harvest a bunch every couple of years and dry it, then pulverize it. Just like the spearmint I pick. Good stuff if you can get enough of it keep it a long time if dried well and kept in a sealed container.
