I wrote this Poem tonight, not real hard to figure out, figured I'de give you guys the first crack at it. If you have any Riddles you wrote that are kinda in this fashion post them up and lets solve them!

Two eagles fight until the death
A bear devours all that’s left
Surviving bird and bear at war
A bloody end will be sure

A rooster of blue, white and red
Begged for help from his friends
He was beaten and badly torn
But he staggered up and gave more

A monkey tried to steal a pearl
But a giant it awoke
Giants are better left alone
In the end the Monkey will surely know

The Bulldog rushed into the fight
He found out his enemy could bite
After awhile of licking his wounds
He rushed back in with all of his might

twice the sun sinks high to low
Two flashes kill everything below
So many dead in the snow
For half a century it will be cold

Eh, thats debatable. Someone will get it and I'm guessing it wont take to long, it will make sense (ish?) soon.

You may be correct.
It's late and adult beverages, having stacked up a bit more by now, may be helpful in the deciphering process.

Sounds like you are talking about the USA..........and WW2 and maybe some foreshadowing.

Animal Farm......the book...if anyone recalls that one.

I loved the strong humble draft horse that always thought..." I will work harder.....then things will be fine..."

Nice poem.

I would guess the 2 eagles are pre communist Russia. The bear is communist Russia. The chicken of blue, white and red France. The monkey is Japan. The pearl is Pearl Harbor. The giant is the USA. The bulldog is great Britain. The two flashes are the nuclear bombs at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The half century of cold is the cold war between the US and the Soviet Union.

Purdy much nailed it, The two eagles are the 3rd Reich and Poland. "Twice the sun sinks high to low" is the two empires who use sun metaphors falling after the war, the rising sun of Japan was replaced and the sun would shortly set on the British empire.

When I read your response KeithC, the Mark Levin show promo line, "We have now made contact with our leader in his underground bunker.... Mark Levin!" came to mind.
I pictured you in a bunker, putting tiny toy soldiers in spots on a battle board, and by Josephine, you got it!

Well played.
Mark
