I've been a victim of signing up for too many things. Also, have been aggravated at getting alerts too often.

I get them for missing children but nothing else. You mean, personally, or what?

Amber alert I think it's called. They are the same system. I appreciate amber alerts especially if I'm in the area. Seconds are precious in those moments

Is Corona worthy of states using the emergency alert text system? Personally I think it's not needed. Today nm got another text about Corona and stay home this weekend. This is the 4th text about Corona vista since March Disable your alert notifications on your phone. It'll save your heart.

Yep. Turned mine off a long time ago.

Yep. Turned mine off a long time ago. I did when we lived in Nebraska. Seemed every week, my heart would jump out of my chest when it was announced; severe weather alert. Dang, is everything a severe weather? I pictured a guy in the state run meteorology office.... Clouds form over the Pacific... HIT THE BUTTON. Might turn into a tornado! The sky if falling ! Alert! Alert! Alert! It's usually just a stiff breeze to keep the bugs off ya.

I get a bunch of alerts on my phone, even get a coupon alert from KwikTrip when is running a special..Thing is got to figure out which ones you want to have turned on or off..I get tones on my phone from 911 that actually wake me right up. I have most everything else turned off. If your getting alerts you don't want learn your phone..Or do like I do have a kid turn it off for you.

99.999% of "abductions" are a parent in a custody dispute. You want to get mixed up in that stuff then go have fun with it.

Whoever sets up the amber alerts and the new one for lost elderly people must think Texas is about the size of Rhode Island. I get alerted if someone turns up missing in El Paso, Amarillo, or Texarkana and think wow- I will forget every detail by the time they would ever get down here.
