Courageous is defined as "not deterred by danger or pain, brave." So my thanks goes out today to George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, John & Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, Patrick Henry and all the others both famous and unknown who had the courage to step into uncharted waters in pursuit of life, liberty & the pursuit of happiness. What a fantastic experiment. July 4, 1776 changed the world; it should be an international holiday. I am glad for the privilege to be an American.

The men you named and more risked being hung for treason in order to be free.....and to free many others.

How many would risk that in todays America?

Hear! Hear! So am I and the entire family.
Marty, other than the brave men and women in the military, I laugh thinking about which politicians would step up for America...particularly those on the Left.

We live a blessed life thanks to the courageousness of a few. No humans are without mistakes and neither is any institution formed by them but this country has stood for personal freedom unlike any in history. And if one studies the foundation of this country it is hard to deny the founders moral beliefs rooted in God's system as the inspiration of those freedoms and liberties. Happy birthday to the United States of America and that which see stands!

Interesting summary piece J Staton.
Thank you.

I see the editor of this video included Charles Chauncey's work, a Bostonian theologian.
He's credited by many as fostering the Unitarian tradition and Liberal Protestantism in America.

Blessings,
Mark
