He might be playing with fire, but it's obvious that ol' fella ain't gonna quit feeding them. I wonder how much he spends on hotdogs a week?

That’s $255 in one night, lol. And that’s not counting selling the carcasses, another $170 minimum! I’m doing it all wrong, lol!!

I have seen groups of raccoons twice like that in my life. The first time was every night I patrolled, over one Summer, behind a ribs place in Fairfield, Ohio. There was close to 30 raccoons, mostly young ones, that would raid the dumpsters for bones and scraps. They hung around and waited in plain sight for the trash to be taken out. The biggest coons would climb in first and the smaller ones would go in as the bigger ones came out. There was a lot of quick fights and blow ups.

The second was behind the dumpsters at a Speedway in Trotwood, Ohio, right above a creek. Some guy would show up with a 50 pound bag of dog food and a few buckets of food scraps and dump food in dozens of piles. Close to 40 raccoons would show up. The coons would eat quickly and later about half a dozen large opossums would show up and clean up the leftovers.

So what you're saying, in essence, is that the raccoons
that forage naturally in the wild are Republican coon,

and those that accept hot dog handouts are Democratic coon !!!! laugh

Well put,
and I agree with you !!! laugh

This guy shows up on my youtube every few days I click on it for kicks he has tons of subscribers. He's up in Canada I made a comment few weeks ago when he had a young kid with him what happens when he gets bit by one and you have to pay rabies shots. A lady quickly chimned in on me and said "we don't have any rabies in Canada!" didn't take much research show that's false ..it is not as likely as down in states but still possible and a guy just last year died from rabies in Canada. Not counting half dozen or more other diseases they can carry. Oh well. More power to the guy if he wants to feed them though. If that was in suburbs in a busy town I wouldn't be happy if my neighbor was bringing that many close to my house..they would be setting up hotels in all the close houses to be close to dinner!

I have 3 red fox in my yard that I feed every evening. They aren't tame but they have figured out I bring food.
