On another thread, James used the term, democrat trappers, and said there are some here. Others have referred to those also. James has also asked about debating. So I'm hoping this thread will be a debate on being a trapper and supporting the democrat party.
To be a trapper, ones needs the tools to do so. Unfortunately, many states have outlawed those tools, traps, and made any trapping almost impossible. These laws have all been done through voter initiatives which favor the votes from large metropolitan areas and these areas are predominantly democrat. In the same manner, states have used "cruelty" as a reason to outlaw trapping. Orgs. Like PETA, HSUS, collect money and use it to outlaw the cruelty of trapping. Democrat politicians regularly support these orgs. Few Republicans do. Trappers use guns. The democrat party is more and more anti gun. Supporting the D party is supporting the loss of your right to own a firearm. The same animal rights orgs support outlawing fur. Fur is cruel. Several municipalities have outlawed the sale of fur. These cities are all Democrat majority! So there is a few reasons why being a trapper and supporting the Dem party is akin to cutting your own throat! James? Other dem or liberal trappers?

Pretty quiet so far but I'm sure you'll wake some kind of giant in a while, me? I'm registered republican but vote with my mind and heart. Not too many times have I voted democratic because they're so unyielding in everything martentrapper pointed out

MT:
You make valid points. We'll see what the Dem's party platform says after the convention; maybe they'll surprise me, and won't come out in favor of gun control. I concede your point, though: Democrat candidates are all-too-often anti-gun.
That's why I don't become a Democrat. I don't give them money, allow their signs in my yard, or knee-jerk vote for them.
I agree with the Dems about some things. Gay and other minority rights. Keeping government from getting into the abortion issue, and leaving a women's bodies to their own sovereignty. Being respectful and neighborly to our allies. And other issues.
I'm an independent who reserves the right to vote Democrat, when they offer the better candidate.
No one's going to stampede me unthinkingly into the ballot cubicle, inciting fear of this and that. The risk of damaging gun control is slight. They aren't going to ban ARs again; there are too many in the hands of citizens. And if they do try to ban them, I'm expecting the Supreme Court to step in.
Cleaning the vermin out of the White House trumps any other consideration this election.
This won't be much of a debate, since so much of it depends on personal outlook and opinion.

James vote for Trump?! Pssh... I want to hear him say it. Lol James where you at on this? James will not be voting for Trump. Haven't decided about Biden. Depends partly on his VP and whether he mouths off about gun control. Most elections I've voted Libertarian. Jim

In defense of James, when I posted video clips of all the leading democrat presidential canidates takes on the Second Amendment, he declared that they did not have a pulse, meaning he would not vote for them over President Trump.
Keith I've been quoted partially and out of context. What I said was I'd vote for any Dem with a pulse, before I'd vote for Trump. Which leaves Libertarian and other throw-your-vote-away parties for me to vote for. Jim

I thought you declared biden pulse less after one of the debates after I posted some videos from him and one from his campaign manager? Keith

I didn't.
My brother owns property in Bear Valley, in the foothills of Anchorage, and got hit with a big assessment for "re-surveying" the area when Begich was mayor.
My brother can't understand why it cost $5,000 per property to re-survey boundaries.

Bleck! You....know, the thing Biden makes me sick! Not because he’s far to old and apparently senile but because of his weird touching and hair sniffing. Total creep. Just my opinion of observing him in action.

Biden has three debates scheduled with Trump. Perhaps gun control will be a question.
Weaselly words or saying he's in favor of "hunting rifles" will count against either candidate.
