There’s a thread on this recently... apparently his name attached to it makes every part of the beaver worth 500$ in total selling all the parts sellable.

I know articulated skeletons sell for big money but not sure how often a guy would sell one.. That said I made more money selling finished skulls than I ever made on the pelt.

Aside from the knife sheath I’ve got barely 40 tallied up...ok maybe 60 if the pelt was actually worth hanging on the wall.

That show was from 2014 or 2015 when we were getting $65 and $70 for a no.1 blanket beaver. at the auction. SO once people like Tom Ore got done manufacturing all of his goodies from a beaver... $500 was reasonable. The shows you watch that are at 8:00PM during weekdays on ISP are rerun. The currant shows are being show on Thursday nights at 9:00 PM. on history channel.

Garry even at those prices I still struggle to come up with 500$?! Anyone have any proof of selling a nice top lot beaver tanned and put up on a willow whip?

This is a hooped beaver for sale on the internet. It isn’t a Tom Oar pelt. https://www.riverinefurtraders.com/assets/BV_735.jpg That is $240.00. Cleaned skulls can be up to $50.00. For other Tom Oar products, check out Willow Bend Trading Post. $500.00 total for a fully processed beaver is not out of line.

Sheesh I need to catch more beaver. I’d be happy with 100$ for a hooped beaver. Cousin has a pretty slick tanning set up...wonder if any touristas would pay the big dollars for my all Alaskan hooped beavah!

Save you a lot of typing everytime they replay that episode.

Cousin has a pretty slick tanning set up...wonder if any touristas would pay the big dollars for my all Alaskan hooped beavah! Been trying, not real popular. Most tourist don't even know the history of hooped beaver. They are a logistical problem for the tourist unless they drove a camper. I wouldn't be jealous, anybody can ask anything, but stuff moves for what it sells. I won't even go into the extra time of picking out a good willow stick and skinning them and and bending them and sealing them and poking holes in the hides and running cord through them. Easy money. I'd rather slap a pair of mitts together.

Mitts are useful and stow easily. Put them in your carry on or into a flat rate box. Great idea! I traded some fur for a car....it’s a real piece of crap...and the native guy(that I got the car from)turned some nutria into purse/bags. Cool stuff, he said he couldn’t make them fast enough. He said he wants more, all the stylish people wanted fur they couldn’t get. I may just get rich yet!
