Caught him in a Bridger 1 1/2. I was using my homemade bait and some pepperoni. I used beaver and muskrat lure. The reason I trapped him was because him or another fox was getting into our chicken tractors and killing and/or eating our chicks.

Awesome. I caught my first fox 27 years ago, and I still remember every second of it,

Now you've gone and done it, you left the biggest kept secret out on what bait to use for fox. Congratulations on catching it. Don't tell anyone about anchovies.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Good job kid! I remember my first fox, beautiful red and big ole Male too. Had two coyotes also that day but the first red really sticks out in my memory. I was always amazed at how something that orange and colorful laying in the bed of a pickup didnt seem so bright and colorful when I laid it down on the dead winter grass and oak leaves next to our home. It was more Camo'd than that it appeared, nature has a great way of putting creatures in places where they do the best. Coyotes blend in well in tall dead grasses, foxes look like they do well in a forested oak leaf floor in fall. Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Nice job MySide! He won't be eating anymore of your chickens and you have a great memory to look back on for years to come. Good job!
