I do not understand our post office. I live in southern Oregon and just tracked a couple of packages I ordered over the weekend. The one from California won’t be here until Saturday and the one from Indiana will be here on Friday!

It can take 3 or sometimes 4 days for a first class letter to go 20 miles here. It used to be the same day. Not now, they fixed everything.

Back in the mid 90’s I had a check express mailed to me from Denver. Took 11 days to get to Alaska.

The PO is using this Covid to delay packages. I had to chew some arse 2 months ago because packages were taking 7 business days to go from our town to STL which is 97 miles away. Then, it would take another 6-7 days to make it to their destination. For a small business, this puts a hamper on us. I drop off 20-40 boxes a day, our customers want their stuff NOW! The PO is slow walking packages that should take 3-5 days total. 10-15 business days is unacceptable. After I spoke with the Post Master, our packages made it STL in 1-2 days like normal. Funny how that works.

Just took 6 days for a package of mine to travel from Hampden Maine to my post office just 50 miles away with no other stops.

Some times it works the other way. I sent a package to Alaska last Thursday. It was scheduled to arrive on Thursday the 9th. A delivery attempt was made this morning (Tuesday the 7th) at 845 AM.

USPS isn’t all bad, in my opinion. ,!!

No they aren’t. I order stuff weekly, and I get stuff right when they say I will. Sometimes earlier.

I have noticed some things seem to have longer than usual shipping times on Amazon, even with Prime. But I ordered a book that was supposed to arrive next week sometime that was delivered today.

During this covid crap amazon pushed out shipping times on things they deemed non essential. Some things I looked at showed expected delivery dates a month out. Now that only applied to items being stored in and shipped from an amazon wharehouse.

with this covid crap Amazon pushed out expected delivery dates on items they deemed non essential. I saw some expected delivery dates as much as one month out on some items.

Does anyone think Amazon might have pushed back the delivery time on things they deemed non-essential due to the COVID-19 pandemic?

Just curious, how does that change things?

my delivery times have been all over the place
i needed a new pack, ordered from amazon in March, and it showed up in late April - pretty close to the "expected" date.
I've also ordered a carburetor, that showed up 2 days early, and most other small things i've ordered have been on time or early.

i ordered some clothes from Duluth, they originated in PA, took 3 days to get to Capital Heights, MD, and they've been sitting there since june 26.
