The jet stream brought in this African dust from the Sahara and it has been in the air over our area for the past three weeks. I would bet there has been way more people go to the emergency rooms and clinics with respiratory problems than the virus.
This stuff gets in the eyes, nose and ears. No rain and 100 + degree temps. has not helped.
We had this happen two years ago but I cannot remember how long it lingered on.

Not any better north of you... Dust wise...

But I did get a rain... 5" last week

But with 100+ days it ain't gonna last long...

It was like that when i was in Hilton Head from the 25th through the first ..... around 100 degrees not a breath of wind and the dust hanging there making everything hazy . It was not pleasant.

We had that here a week ago then we got 6" of rain in 3 days. That cleared the dust for awhile anyway.
