When that show came out I thought it was going to be good, turned out to be junk. Pretty much like swamp people. It would take an idiot to believe anything from either one.

I've gotten $1500 canadian pesos but it was tanned ( by me) and that included a $400 bounty. It was an exceptional wolf though.

$800 , I'd say that's a score.

I personally love the show, but just like news, you have to decide what to believe!

I think Tom and Marty do a very good job of representing trapping and trappers in a positive light. Their comments on the trapline are informative. Tom showing how to use all parts of the animal allows viewers to see a side of trapping they probably aren’t aware of.

As far as the prices go, they are realistic given that Tom Oar is a “star”. That adds value.

I think the show. I believe theres something to learn from everyone but some I do appreciate more than others. I also keep in mind that its a TV show so take things with a grain of salt.

Them boys in NC Eustace and his friend I laugh at....they're in the warmest climate and are usually the most bundled up.

The problem is that they portray the price Tom gets as the 'going rate' and not as a 'star' rate and that is misleading at best. JMO

No, they don't. They portray it as what it's worth to him, not the market price. It's made quite clear.

And honestly who cares? It makes no difference to any of us, some of you simply look for things to be negative about. I've said it before, some of you aren't happy unless you have something to complain about.

Those prices do encourage people to trap, then they find out what the real prices are. I bet most people quit after that. I know they do here.

Misleading at best that wolf was pretty sad but some people don’t seem to mind it. LOL

For the guy that tells others to just scroll by he can’t do it himself without complaining about a discussion going on.

Agreed.99% of media coverage of trapping isn't just negative, they'll take PETA talking points and weave it into the story as if it were fact, and this has been going on for decades. We won't even talk about their photos. So what if the fur prices are pumped up?After years of abuse at the hands of the media we should be happy we finally have a forum which shows us in a positive light without animal rights slants to the story.

What would the general public think about a guy who does all that work to catch a wolf and sends it to an Auction that gives it a way for a $100 or less?

Eustace would look like the genius.
