Here are two metal adornments that were brass gilded (?). There is no brass on the back so I am assuming they were not plated. The back is chunky unfinished metal of some kind. The big one with flower in the center had material attached on the back when I popped it out of the ground but it came off throughout the day while detecting. The small one is a bird chasing a bee through the grass. I have an idea of what I think they are. What are your thoughts?

I know they're neat looking. Sorry not helpful.

No shank marks on the back to indicate they were buttons. I would date them to the late 1800's to early/mid 1900's.

Those appear to be from the head dress of a Kickapoo Chief called Wha Ta Ney Ha Eshhese Da Sa, meaning, Sickly Bird in english. He died.

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....
