Lugnut trapper L Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 20,065 SEPA	I agree with Danny that any of those traps, with the exception of the MB 450 because of the smaller jaw spread, would do well in the hands of an experienced trapper for the target species you mentioned. The only way to make the ratings meaningful would be to hear from trappers that have used these different traps on THEIR lines and done side by side comparisons. Even then I doubt the differences would be significant. I have always used Northwoods 1.75 here at home on my fox line and they have held every coyote that stepped on them (once the coyotes started showing up about ten years ago). But, with a jaw spread of only 4 7/8" (5/8" bigger than the MB 450) I wouldn't consider them an ideal coyote or bobcat trap. When I started trapping around my camp about twenty years ago where there is a high population of coyotes and bobcat, I did my homework and settled on Bridger # 2 laminated offsets as a great all-around fox and coyote trap. I use Bridger # 3 offsets when specifically targeting the one bobcat we are allowed to keep here in PA. But, in the end I doubt there would be much difference in catch percentage with any of the traps on your list. Eh...wot?
