Sold a guy a lower build kit a week ago then today I received a email that said 2 Small parts were missing a detent and spring (pivot/ takedown) No rating on his profile so he’s new to the game it looks like. What are your thoughts on the chance of those 2 parts missing at the same time?

I will send him the parts I have a lot of small parts that’s not the point.

That makes sense and in a world where we don't have to take responsibility for any dam thing- just bust the sellers chops until you get some free stuff.

I bet the guys wife's name is Karen, the drives a silver mini van, has a bob hair cut, and demands to speak to the manager at about every other store she hasnt been kicked out of yet.

he needs an oops kit because , well it happens , but you should own it that you shot them across the room and just buy an oops kit

send him a message back that you will mail him the parts and say hey , you know the shipping is basically the same on the 2 parts he is missing say it is a good idea to have extra oops kit around because you know sometimes springs go flying across the room or get bent or you need one some time the night before you plan to leave on a trip.

he probably knows he shot them across the room and he is unsure where to get them and if he can get them out of you for free all the better.

The last lower kit I bought came with an extra detent and spring. ( I thought yee haw some extra parts!) Had to borrow a detent from a buddy to finish my assembly. Found one the other day (around 4 months later) cleaning a floor register.

It is a sad thing, but LL in probably the closest to calling this one. The first few a fella puts together has a learning curve to that detent and even after many it can still be a bit tricky. There is a reason they sell oops kits for ARs, but why buy a $6 oops kit when you can just get the seller to send ya the parts you lost for free. SMH

.01% both missing from package at the start. 99.99% chance the flooring gods have swallowed them whole.

I agree with everyone else, I've launched enough detent pins, springs and even the buffer spring and cap.

If I gave any more I’d need to grow utters and stick a broom in my butt so I could sweep the floor as I walk around. LOL

Nothing wrong with taking the high road and sending $6.00 worth of extra parts. Maybe he will feel foolish about it in the future.

So, an upper, a lower, and a lower parts kit, and you have a rifle? Or is there a bunch of other stuff you need. I looked it up and there's about 27 other things you can get, but how much do you NEED?
