My daughter lost her job when this all started.She signed up for unemployment.While the stimulus checks are not taxable,unemployment(including the extra600.00 is).
My daughter got one unemployment check,she then applied for a lower paying job and was hired.The day she was to meet with her new employer(she was heading out the door)--her phone rang.It was her former employer,they had created a new job and wanted my daughter to come back. She met with the Doctor that had offered her a job(which was lower paying) and he told her to take the job offered by her old company-he said he would do the same if it was him.
So not all people will stay home and collect unemployment. My daughter would have received more on unemployment than she is working.
President Trump wants to cut back on that $600.00 in the new package and give those going back to work,more incentive to go back to work.

Tom, I am glad to hear this about your daughter's willingness to work. My buddy was talking in tongue and cheek, we was discussing this at work. He just changed employer for a bit. He did draw the $ for a few weeks prior to the new job, guess he will get a surprise when the tax forms come out. Sure is sad to think of the folks that do stay home for the easy $, bet we both know people that are playing the system. Kind of like them disabled folks that work for cash. Lots of things in today's society that get under my skin.

There talking a back to work bonus I say give the bonus to those that choose to work thru this.

I get stimlous just like everyone else. Where these jobs at that u smoke cigarettes an look phone. I know not a one. Most places are real strict pricks I look forward to less 2 years from now at retirement, can't wait tell employer I done an gone ,stuff it !

I have a job similar to that, but I don’t smoke cigarettes and I look at a computer some of the time.

I hope you reach retirement and finally enjoy some things.

Can't believe you will get much in retirement unless you had a 401k going the whole while you worked at the factory.

Coon man,my guess is,if you are having a hard time making it now,there is no way you will make it on what you would get from social security.
Not trying to be a smart aleck,just stating the hard facts. I reached retirement age almost 7 years ago,my guess is I will be working till I die.
Just hope to get one more good beaver and rat line in before I go.
