Fox and Mink was, and will always be, my favorite furbearers to trap.
But now I've gone rogue, and like making war on the interloping coyote.

Coyotes because they are smarter than me. Then bobcats because they are goofy. Then muskrats because of the memories.

Beaver and otter, followed by coyotes. Mason, where are you at in Ohio? It might be worth checking out the DNR beaver and otter lottery, as you can get a few spots depending on your zone.
Ave don't go where the beaver don't flow

Raccoon, being I can catch quite a few in a hurry. I do love trapping muskrats in a large swamp all alone though.

Coyotes because they challenge me, especially late season in snow. Then Red fox , then mink. I used to love trapping beaver till I got old I'm gonna put some time into muskrats this season too.. I'm getting tired of avoiding Bobcats , not allowed I can only trap 1 otter so what's the use...
Common sense catches alot of fur.. Pay homage to all you harvest..

Coyotes because they are smarter than me. Then bobcats because they are goofy. Then muskrats because of the memories. Muskrats because they are dumber than me! Chris
