Pine marten, otter, and beaver. Love riding my sled up the side of a mountain and seeing a nice orange throated male hanging. [Linked Image]

Bringing the kids along also helps out tons.

I recall asking dad this question, and his answer was muskrats. Mine is beaver.

Wow...one post mentioning mink,..not exactly the best time to reference, but if you have never ran a long mink line,.you are missing something that that will surely stick to your memory.

Fox and Mink was, and will always be, my favorite furbearers to trap.

But now I've gone rogue, and like making war on the interloping coyote.

Mink. Easy to catch, easy to carry, easy to skin.

Coyotes because they are smarter than me.
Then bobcats because they are goofy.
Then muskrats because of the memories.

Beaver and otter, followed by coyotes. Mason, where are you at in Ohio? It might be worth checking out the DNR beaver and otter lottery, as you can get a few spots depending on your zone.

Ave don't go where the beaver don't flow

Raccoon, being I can catch quite a few in a hurry. I do love trapping muskrats in a large swamp all alone though.

Coyotes because they challenge me, especially late season in snow.

Then Red fox , then mink. I used to love trapping beaver till I got old wink

I'm gonna put some time into muskrats this season too..

I'm getting tired of avoiding Bobcats , not allowed

I can only trap 1 otter so what's the use...

Common sense catches alot of fur..
Pay homage to all you harvest..
