Muskrats have probably always been my favorite. The problem is that they have basically not existed in my area of southeast PA for the last twenty-thirty years. I really wish we had the numbers we used to.
So I target my second favorite; the red fox. Around here they are plentiful, easy to catch and easy to put up. I have found alternative markets for my catch and have been averaging around $16.00 while I see a bunch of folks letting there's go for $5.00-$6.00 averages at last season's Pennsylvania Trapper's Association auctions. I would stop trapping them before I sold them that cheap.
Eh...wot?

Coyotes for land critters. Beaver are a blast for water critters. But I'm always pretty happy when I get an otter.

I never even tried to catch a wolverine but It would be pretty cool to catch one. Caught a couple of wolves and some lynx. It would have to be beavers for me.

Red fox/grey fox, cats then yotes. But nothing better than being on a big slough trapping a ton of rats
