That right there is enough snow to shut down an interstate in Georgia, ain't it? And get the state declared a disaster area. LOL Haha

Coonman,in our area, the mountain goats will spend the Summer in the high, rocky areas and some mule deer will also get above timberline to beat the heat(9,000' or higher). There are a few snowshoe hares as well but overall,I wouldn't call it thick with game. Exactly the same here in Glacier country . The larger ones need shade, and follow the food sources down the valleys. Even bighorn go down lower here. I have mulies in my yard down in the valleys for some weeks , a few but most are higher. The only ones that stay at treeline and higher, are those cute Pika, marmots , sometimes wolverine and high nesting birds. Beartooth T is indeed in high mountains...the Beartooth and Absaroka ranges are mighty powerful. Snow is still in the high country here too , treeline and above. Gorgeous to see everywhere.

I remember getting snowed on July 4 @ 4000 feet in Big Timber, in the mid seventy.

Is there much any wildlife, way up on mtn Yes there is, we seen everything for tracks. Tons of bear and lion scat. Even seen a set of coon tracks at the mine portal an it's at 8500 elevation.
