I'd start out EASY, the first time. Just a little, to see if you have any reaction to them.
A couple that are good friends of mine loaded up on some morels thy got from another friend of theirs. They both wound up in the hospital. The guy knew what he was doing and had eaten them himself, but my friends had a bad reaction.
Stay safe.

What Chas said. Take it slow. I've been a mushroomer my whole life, and you can never be sure what reaction you'll have with a new shroom. The first several times I ate Hedgehog Mushrooms my lips and all around them got real tingly and numb feeling. They are a choice edible mushroom to 99.9% of poeple.
