I'm taking a 5 hour roadtrip tonight to Boscobel WI. So I can get my new Puppy in the morning with only 5 hour drive home. So I was readying my jeep back at Quick Trip for the sleeping bag and a Trucker pulls in behind me and honks. I walked back to his cab window and asked if he needed me to pull foreward. He was a very large black man. He said if you could please . After a half hour laying in my jeep he is walking around my vehicle saying anyone home? I cracked a window and he said "heres a $5 Gift card for coffee and donuts in the morning"

Thats just how America Should still operate!

There’s a lot more than you think, you just don’t hear about it on the fake news or even the real news for that matter. You definitely don’t hear about it on social media, all we’ll hear about until november is black lives matter and covid 19. According to the news nothing good happens in this country but us hard working, outdoors loving, God fearing Americans know better!! Glad you something positive in your life today, thanks for sharing!!

If you've ever driven big trucks and pulled into the pumps to fuel up, most often the guy in front of you is no where to be seen. Most use it as their own private parking spot so to have someone ask if they need to pull ahead is a lot rarer than you'll ever know. Thumbs up to you 330 for thinking of the other guy!

There are so many great Americans sea to shining sea!
It's not my granddad's America to be sure, but our America still shines as the world's beacon of individual freedom and opportunity for all.

Thank you for sharing 330. These things remind us to pause and reflect on what exactly are we putting out there.

Thanks for sharing 330. I believe a large majority of of Americans are good people. They are the silent majority you rarely hear about. The very vocal, very angry minority is what the news media focuses on and has many believing this is what America is really about. It's not.

I stopped watching the news months ago and I skip over the multitude of gloom and doom posts here on Tman.

My life is much less stressful now.

Charles Kuralt used to do a Sunday morning show that focused on good folks and the interesting things they did. It was a great show. My wife and I watched every Sunday morning. we need more of that and less of the hate the media spews.

Eh...wot?

Boscobel is only 30 miles from me I’m in Lone Rock.

It makes me think of what happened to me yesterday. Our air conditioner quite on us Sunday so we called a repair company. A young man can and found a fuse blown but didn’t have one with him. He told me if I wanted to save some money and go get one it myself it would be cheaper than if he had to and come back. So I ran to town to get one but none of the hardware stores in town had one so I had to stop by the company’s office to get one. The boss found out and called the worker and chewed him out and even threatened to fire him for not going himself and charging me for the time and trip. I told my wife the world is trying to harden another thoughtful and caring heart.

I'd probably tell that young man to keep my name, number, and address in case he ever parts ways with that company and needs a bullet proof reference.

I agree with Lugnuts- I meet wonderful people literally every where I do. Some of them are tall, some are short and some don't even look like me. I suspect the media has become so perverse they will never want to hear about that from any of us just like they don't want to hear about a mass shooter stopped a CHL holder or what is really happening on the southern border.
