I don’t know if it’s a New England thing......but we buy Brown Eggs. What is the rest of the country buying ?

My hens lay brown, blue, green and teal eggs. I might go crazy next year and buy a couple that lay white.

I get both but most layers do not lay white eggs in the catalogs I have seen.

We have chickens that lay both, but when they are on a down turn. I buy white eggs because they are 88 cents a dozen

We get both. Have to say the white eggs have crumblier shells. If you’re picking shell out of eggs it’s generally a white one. If the hens don't get enough calcium they will lay thin shelled eggs regardless of the color.

I did happen to buy some white eggs on sale.....and yes..the shells are paper thin, compared to a brown egg.

It matters not, the color of the egg. The color is determined by the variety of chicken that laid it. All Eggs Matter?

All shades of brown and a few green/blue eggs from our birds. I only remember one hen that laid white eggs and I don't remember what kind she was.
Eh...wot?

White eggs, does that make me racist?
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.
