I'd douse it in isopropyl alcohol, if you have any to spare. The alcohol will mix with the water and allow it evaporate out fairly quick.

Put it in a bag full of uncooked rice. X2 Some dollar stores will have small tubs of desiccant for drying damp areas like a closet. It is usually located near the cleaning supplies. Get a tub , put in a small garbage bag ( do not put the loose desiccant in the bag , use as directed in original container ) Put the phone in the bag with the phone back case open and close bag. Let sit for a day or more to dry out the phone. If unable to get desiccant , the rice method works too.

I am probably to techy .... But stuff like that I put in a old pressure cooker pot I made a lid for it out of 1/4" stainless with a gasket and it has a Schrader valve on it to with I connect a vacuum pump ... an hour under vacuum will get rid of all moisture in any device .... fogged up binoculars etc. I then flood it with Argon instead of air as that stuff out of a bottle is dry as can be. I know ... Kraut enginerd and all that but it works and it works quick.

LOL Went fishing in my homemade 1 sheet jon boat. Its a "little" tippy. I leaned a little too far to the right and ... Lost my sun glasses. The boat only took on about an inch of water Everything stayed in the boat except me and the pole I had hold of, the sun glasses and a float cushon. I ain't been swimming in a long time.
LOL just . . . Glad you made it out alive!

Put it in a bag full of uncooked rice. Use instant rice, it's faster, and more effifcient.

I sent a scope back to gammo and paid $25.00 for a replacement and maybe could have saved it and some money. What are you using for the vacuum? just

Did not see the brand of phone mentioned but I know Iphones have a moisture sensor integrated into the circuitry. If it is exposed to water it sets a marker that will show if you ever need service. You may get the phone dried out and it may work fine for a long time but if you ever need service on it, Apple will refuse to work on it. They refused to honor a recall issue with a battery on mine because the moisture sensor showed it had been wet. Company policy - they will not do any repair on a phone with the moisture sensor tripped. I fixed the issue myself and used it until I decided to get a new phone. You can bet it was not an Apple!
But I suspect most other brands probably have the same sensor feature but I have managed to keep mine dry since then.
