Changed heater core and air conditioner evaporator, and the blend doors.the evaporator was nearly plugged, 1/3 covered with black oily pine needles.
What a sucky job, removing and reinstalling the dash sucks.
I almost wish i would have hired it done, 1000$ they charge
Next ball joints again, i bought a ball joint press kit

I hated removing dashes in any vehicle. Some were far easier than others. A few even have a tilting feature. But yeah, it sucks.

Hate working on newer vehicles myself.
Kudos on changing a heater core! I hired mine done on a 1997 F150. $600
On my 1987 F250 it took me about an hour to replace the heater core.

You already have the press, but some of the better parts stores around here will press your ball joints pretty cheap if you get the parts from them. I went that route after I almost tore the vise off my workbench trying to press out ball joints with a borrowed kit.

I lowered steering column, rested drivers side on the column, i couldn't figure out how to undo all wires there, swung it enough back on passenger side to squeeze in to remove box.
Ya everyone said you need to remove a computer box on the firewall to get at two of the bolts, nobody mentions there are three more you undo from under the hood, lol

Anyone ever tear into a Toyota Tundra dash? My heat/AC control is stuck on defrost only, so my dear wife's feet get cold in winter. I'm usually in bunny boots Halloween through near Easter, so I'm okay with it, but I'd like her to be comfortable too.

I might have to do the same thing 30/06- my side of the Tundra dash works but the passenger side does not.

Good news to me anyway- I completely redid the front breaks Monday and Toyota makes the calipers with the drain valve near the top so you can gravity bleed them- just don't let the reservoir go dry or you will have a bubble that you need to bleed out the old fashioned way.
