trapperkeck OP trapper Joined: Nov 2007 Posts: 9,848 St. Cloud, MN	I have a raised bed garden and my early crop of lettuce was getting bitter, so I commenced to pulling it to re-plant. Well, I got it all pulled out and sowed some new seed. While I was working it in with my fingers, my hand pushed through the topsoil and I felt something warm. Lo and behold, there was a nest. I'm thinking mice or chipmunk? Anyway, I worked around it and laid a board over the nest to protect it during watering. Yesterday, I watered and a tiny rabbit bailed out of the nest. Well, then I had to supply a ramp so the critter could get back to the nest. Today, apparently, it found its way back and through my binoculars, I see at least two sets of ears. I know the mother of these critters chewed my first planting of beans down to the ground, but I just don't have the heart to take it out on the kids. I'm getting soft in my old age, I guess.
