I've always had a cash shortage Lol, me too. I'm never broke, but badly bent. I agree with KY, credit/debit cards are handy but I sure don't want everything tracked. That's unAmerican.....
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

I doubt that we will see it in our lifetimes' in the US
The volume of currency in circulation continues to increase and there are now more hundred dollar bills in circulation than one dollar bills.
Nevertheless, if I have the choice between paying cash or using a credit card, I will never use cash. I think the last time I used cash was two years ago in Missoula paying for breakfast or maybe at a skeet range.
Credit card is much safer, cleaner, cheaper, provides some side benefits, more efficient if you are doing transactions in another country/currency.
I agree

Ramsey in this case seems to be confusing Banks with Government. Banks handle all my credit and debit transactions. Correct. Any sort of tracking at this point is used for targeted advertising..........just like Amazon or Ebay, Facebook etc. I'd be a lot more concerned about privacy where they are concerned. If you write a check today it is eventually cleared by the Federal Reserve. So there is already some degree of interaction between you and the government at that point. Not so with credit cards

Let's go Brandon

This is coming from a guy that thinks that the FED and centralized banking is good for the economy. Maybe its time to start thinking about future generations? Massive amounts of fiat could be taken out of circulation with the stroke of pen. Once that happens future generations will be enslaved.

How or why would a free society ever allow it to happen? IT'S easier, They say!

People today can't count money. I've paid for meals two different times with cash and got back more change than I paid out to begin with.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

I told my boys that according to the law of supply and demand a quarter should be worth more than $.25 right now. Wish things worked like that. I’ve got enough change to sink a battle ship

Some quarters are worth more than $.25, it's too bad quarters aren't still made of silver. Our standard of living might not have been as high but we wouldn't be in this mess.
