I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Ask and you shall receive. Best part about this forum is the ideas and knowledge shared, I believe. When I was starting out nobody would share any tips had to learn a lot via hard knocks. Would love to help save you the grief I experienced if I can.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I'm not banging on you I'm trying to help.
When I was down and close to game over I stumbled into T-man.
Since then I've trapped everywhere without leaving the keyboard.
Get into the wilderness forum and read Mountain Journal and the rest with pictures, it's like being there.
Read about white 17 being the last homesteader in Alaska, then google him and read some more.
Get to know these T-man guys you're talking to.

While it's true a lot of questions can be answered in the archives, what's the fun of that?, LOL

Ask away, you get the interaction of some very knowledgeable and sometimes odd folks... grin

Don't apologize. This is a forum. An Online forum. If someone doesn't like you asking questions, that's their problem, not yours. Even if it is a silly question and you get made fun of a bit for asking it, don't apologize. What is clear and common knowledge for us might not be to you.

Also, on a completely unrelated note:

Will a Duke 1.5 hold a coyote??

I trust you're being facetious.

Of course it’ll hold him!!!! The real question is for how long?

X2 I like helping where I can. "Look in the archives" is a crap response IMO. If you want to help give them a link to the exact post that will help or just answer the question, or move on and keep your opinion to yourself.

I may be wrong and folks on here will be quick to tell me so but I believe the main purpose of this
whole shebang as proposed by Paul's Father is to promote and further knowledge.
You just load the wagon boy, don't worry about the mule.
As far as being a dick, that takes time. Been working at it 65 years myself and pert near got it down.

I am one of those old Richards in training like Zim. I hadn't trapped much for several years and when my work changed I had time to get back into it. I found this forum and was amazed at the innovation and new products that had been thought of by like minded people trying to come up with new better ways to do the same old thing. Trappers are amazing at solving problems and figuring things out. Everybody on here can learn something new from someone else.

So ask away Mason!

Jeff
