The warning just went off. Epicenter somewhere west of Kodiak.

We're trying to decide whether to run to the hillside. Our house is only about 120 feet above sea level.

I'll probably wait until my feet get wet.

Your area is not in it JIm. Thank god! Been a rough few days for my family in your town. This year is just one disaster after another. crazy

"The tsunami Warning remains in effect for the coastal areas of Alaska from Kennedy Entrance, Alaska (40 miles SW of Homer) to Unimak Pass, Alaska (80 miles NE of Unalaska). - Event details: Preliminary magnitude 7.8 (Mwp) earthquake / Lat: 55.220, Lon: -158.594 at 2020-07-22T06:12:44 UTC Tsunami warnings mean that a tsunami with significant inundation is expected or occurring. Warnings indicate that widespread dangerous coastal flooding accompanied by powerful currents are possible and may continue for several hours after the initial wave arrival. "

I wonder why the alarm went off here?

I hope nothing serious is happening to you here in Anchorage, Dirt. I wish the best for you and your family. If you need a hand with something let me know.

Don't run from it.

Embrace it !!!

I'd recommend you go beach combing
or razor clam digging along the Turnagain Arm !!

That'd be the safest place for you

There is going to be an extreme low tide event,

before it comes rushing in hot laugh

I'd bring a Life preserver, though !!!
