I got waylaid on Wednesday, apparently they don't like their nest getting hit by a string trimmer. Any tips on lessening the itch?

I iced them for a couple hours that day. Today they are driving me nuts. Just more ice?

Soak yourself in bathtub with some Epson salt it'll help draw out the venom

Next time put ammonia on it right after you get stung, it neutralizes the venom. Now you could mix some baking soda and water to make a paste and put it on the sting.

I'm really not sure, Keith, Kevin, I forget. We just went. I really am perplexed about all these feelings? Just keep digging and as long as you are breathing, all is well, no need for nonsense and attention. It's all natural and happened to all of us so, choose lol.

I'd like to know exactly what "bit" you. Can you stir them up again and take some pictures?

I don’t believe hornets leave a stinger/ venom sac like honeybees do. That’s why they can sting more than once.

When stung by honeybees, my grandfather taught me to pull a couple of plantain leaves in the yard and chew them into a paste. Put that on the sting. I’ve done it for 45 years, seem to work well, at least with honeybees. Takes the pain and swelling away.

Benadryl makes a roll on type pen for applying it right on the bite/sting. It works really good for mosquito bites. Helps a little for wasp stings. You got lucky. A guy working for me several years ago ran over a nest with the mower and got stung 15 times in the face. Spent one night in the hospital.

If it's itching after 2 days I'm saying it's on the mend.
