My experience, it's a shampoo with alcohol in it.

Another treatment for bee stings or bites it to put some mud on it I know it sounds crazy but it works .

The benadryl insect pen works well on mosquito bites but I've not tried them on bee stings or bites yet.

Both species wasp and hornets the workers have back-ward barbs the hook into your skin and break off then brushed off. The venom sac is still attached so be careful when removing, usually with a finger nail lifting motion. Finger to thumb pushes the venom into the skin area. In the fall there can be many of next years queens that have not emerged for their last fall flight, those stingers can go-in-and- out, no barbs to stop the venom purge.

Nobody has mentioned a fresh cut onion over the sting spot.

I got chased up the street by a bunch of bumble bees bout a month ago. Nailed me 8 times. My wife made the baking soda paste, worked pretty good. When I was a kid we'd slap mud on them

Cut an X over the sting with your knife. Put black powder on X, ignite. After recovering, place a bolt in campfire, heat red hot, then cauterize the wound.

You can always go back with the weed eater and see if the stings the 2nd time work like anti venom.
