If you got a grinder pcr, get a juicing attachment for it if you don't have one and you put up a lot of juice. They work slick and you can run through 100 pounds in a hour and never break a sweat. Bought one myself about 3 years ago. What a labor saver

That's great! Can you explain your process a little more white trash88? I'm fairly new to the canning process and trying to learn as much as I can. So that device appears to separate the juice from the pulp and you're only canning the juice? what do you do with the pulp? Is that primarily a beverage or is it a base for sauces such as pasta sauce? If you want to get into canning,,get yourselfe the "Ball,,Complete Book Of Home Preserving" It is the Bible of anything for canning. Its like $14 through Amazon. You wont be sorry,,and all recipes are tried and true SAFE.

Use a clean bucket to run the pulp into and when it gets full, run it back through the grinder a second time. You will get half again as much juice.

Thanks, you reminded me I was thinking last night while reading the threads on canning that I had bought a book last fall. Going to see if I can find it, maybe that's it.

Upstate is steering you right on the book. We quarter the maters up to make them go through the grinder easier. The juice we boil and then put in jars and boil again, take out and let cool. You don't have to boil it twice, but it tends not to separate as bad in the jars if you do it twice. Add a little viniger to your water when you put the jars in and it keeps your jars coming out clear and clean. Got to put a little canning salt in every jar too

Pretty awsome , she dislikes how heavy the grinder is but loves the speed and efficiency of it . Cleen up wasnt that bad . These particular tomatoes would have rotted if not for the strainer . We've had to go to her fathers house three times in the last 24 hours because he couldnt breathe . I baled 29 big bales of hay , helped my dad with some repairs , and still reduced 5 gallns of tomatoes to spaghetti sauce .
I didnt feel bad about the price of the unit and quality . If anybody has a suitable comercial grade grinder i recomend the cabelas strainer
